Our Process

Sand and Refinish

Step 1: Sanding
Our process begins with sanding down to bare wood. We use Clarke American Sanders and multiple grits of sandpaper from course to fine, then process is repeated on the edges. This way we achieve an incredibly smooth surface.
Step 2: Sealing
Once sanded we apply a stain to the floor. We then apply two coats of sealer, this will absorb into your floor and fill the pores in the wood. This process will help to insure a much smoother finish. The sealed floor is then abraded with a fine screen. The abrasion is necessary so that the paint and finish have something to “bite” into.
Step 3: Game Lines and Graphics
Once abraded it’s time to paint game lines and graphics. We apply tape to the floor to meet regulations game lines must be accurate within 1/16th of an inch. Graphic size and style can vary wildly. From 18-foot monster paintings done by hand, to a small 1-foot lettering on the sides lines, we can put any graphic you want on your floor.
Step 4: Finishing
Finally, the floor is ready for finish. We apply two coats of finish with a sheepskin applicator for an extremely smooth finish. The finish will protect your floor and provide a perfect playing surface!
